CHALLENGE
MF&A Group was tasked with preparing the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for the Water Supply Project in the City of São Tomé.
This study assesses the Project's effects before its implementation, helping to prevent harm and promote benefits.
It will support the Government's decision on the Project’s implementation. The ESIA analyzes interventions subject to the Detailed Design.
The ESIA concludes that the project is environmentally and socially favorable, presenting significant benefits for public health, the local economy, and the environment, with temporary and mitigable negative impacts.

Public Consultation

The Public Consultation allowed the project to be presented, questions clarified, and feedback collected from the population, reinforcing the commitment to open dialogue and social inclusion.

This public session was attended by institutional representatives, local entities, and community members, representing a key stage of transparency and participation in the assessment process.
Significant contribution to the project’s development and implementation process, reinforcing MF&A’s role in promoting sustainable solutions and responsible development in the territories where it operates.
